PlayStation 3



At last, the PlayStation 3 has been release on 11 November 2006 in Japan. 

A major feature that distinguishes the PlayStation 3 from its predecessors:
  • Unified online gaming service
  • The PlayStation Network which relying on video game developers for online play
  • Robust multimedia capabilities
  • Connectivity with the PSP
  • Use Blu-ray Disc as its primary storage medium.

 PlayStation 3 has all the good stuff

PSP (PlayStation Portable)

My next topic will be introducing  the PlayStation Portable which also call PSP. It was unveiled on 11 May 2004. The system was released in Japan on 12 December 2004.

The PSP is the first handheld video game console to use an optical disc format called Universal Media Disc(UMD) as a storage medium. 

What other features on PSP:
  • It has a large viewing screen
  • Robust multimedia capabilities
  • Able to connect to PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, other PSPs, and the internet

PlayStation 2

Now, i'm here to talk about PlayStation 2. PlayStation 2 is forms part of the PlayStation series of video game consoles. Its was release on March 4 2000 in japan. Of course, the primary competitors which are:
  • Sega's Dreamcast
  • Microsoft's Xbox
  • Nintendo's GameCube

In January 31 2011, PS2 is the best-selling console of all time compare to other competitors. In late 2009, developers creating new games and the console still selling steadily a decade after its original release, Sony stated that the life cycle of the PlayStation 2 will continue until demand ceases.

The PlayStation , Officially abbreviated as PS1 which is a 32-bit fifth-generation video game console first released by Sony Computer Entertainment in Japan on December 3 1994.PlayStation was the first computer entertainment platform to ship 100 million units to all over the world.

History of PlayStation

PlayStation was the brainchild of Ken Kutaragi, a Sony executive who had come out of his hardware engineering division at that time and would later be dubbed as "The Father of the PlayStation"

The console's origins was back in 1986 where it was originally joint project between Nintendo and Sony to create a CD-ROM for the Super Famicom console.
